We require lightn top see thing around us . The sunlight up the day and the moon light up the night. Beside giving light the sun also give us warmth. The object that give out light are called lunimous object objects. Example:- sun,bulb,torch,
The object that do not give out their own light are called non luminuys object.Example:-stone , paper , tree , table
We can see an object when light from a luminous object sour fall on it and the reflacted light entefr our eyes the moon does not have oun light it shine because the reflatiojn of the sun.

A lunar eclips can be two type
Light is an invisible source of the created a sensation of vision. LIghty ttravel in the strate line
= Light a candle and put on a table.
= Tke a hollow pipe and look throught flame of the candle through it.
= Now bend th4e pipe and look throught at the flanme of the candle throught it.
You can see the light of the kcandlewhen the pipe isa staight. When the piupeb is bend ypou cannot see the light
This prove that light travel in the traight line.

OPAQUE OBJECT
The object jthat do not allou any light to pass throught them are called opque object EXAMPLE= wood, cardbord ,book
The objectthat allows only some light to pass through them are called transparentobject example = plastic ffrosted glass buter paper
TRNSPARENT OBJECT
The object that allows light to pass themm completly ae called transperent object example clein air clean water cellophane
When an opaque object come in the fron of the light it blocks the light and formed a dark region called shadow.
= plce a football in front of a wall.
= Light a torch on the ball.
= You will see the shadow of the ball on the wall

The movement of the earth about its axis is called rotation.

The movent f the earth around the sun in its orbitis called revolution.

An eclips is a shadow formed in the space formed in that make the moon invisibal for sometime.
There are two kind of eclipses solar eclips and lunar eclipse.
SOLAR ECLIPS: A solar eclips occurs when the moon come between the sun and the earth the moon casts a shadow on the earth.
A solar eclips can be of two type:
(i) Total solar eclipse - A total solar eclipse occurs when the sun cannot be seen all for a brief period of time
(ii) Partial solar eclipse - A partial solar eclips occure when only a part of the sun can be seen for the brief of time.
LUNAR ECLIPS
A luar eclips occure when the earth come between the sun and the earth
(i) Total lunar eclipse - A total lunar eclips ocurs when the moon is tptaty hiden by the earth
(ii) A partial lunar eclips occurer when the moon is partially hidden by the eath .
